Vibrational Spectroscopy Symposium

On behalf of the Organising Committee (Dr. Liz Carter, Prof. Peter Lay and A/Prof. Robert Armstrong) we would like to inform you of an upcoming one-day symposium to celebrate the opening of the new Vibrational Spectroscopy Facility.  The Facility contains a range of the most advanced equipment for research that spans many disciplines within the University of Sydney and external institutions.

The aim of this symposium is in part to promote awareness and encourage researchers to use the state-of-the-art technology which is housed in the Vibrational Spectroscopy Facility.  To encourage inter-disciplinary collaborations we have invited a number of speakers whose expertise ranges from the diverse fields of forensic science, archaeology, conservation, astrobiology, disease diagnoses and biospectroscopy.  Please find a list of the speakers and the title of their talks below.

The symposium will be held at the University of Sydney on Friday the 23rd of May from 8.30 am to 6.00 pm.  Please click here for a pdf of the program.

Venue: Lecture Theatre 4, School of Chemistry (Building F11), EasternAvenue, The School of Chemistry.

Time: 8.30 am to 6.00 pm
